Pilates, when conducted properly, is a fantastic tool for posture correction, improved mobility and all over body balance & conditioning. Over time, our posture becomes affected by everyday stressors such as long periods seated or standing, or through poor exercise form. Any irregularities in your skeletal positioning means you’re likely to be building muscle that is also misaligned, and in time this can encourage injury. Through STARTfit Pilates we therefore look to rebuild your postural positioning, thus ensuring your muscles are seated correctly, allowing them the freedom to function the way they were designed to.
For those of you that have tried Pilates before in a gym, please note our sessions may be very different.
